From this level onwards we expect followers to be comfortable leading basic movements and leaders to be comfortable following them. Moreover, lifts, drops, dips & tricks will be regularly part of the routines.

Focusses on:

Leaders and followers following different steps and tempi, being able to dance alone, style, confidence, spontaneity, drops & splits

Prior knowledge needed: all the content from Level 1-4

Level 6: Intermediate 3

At this level, you will have a deep understanding of Kizomba dance and will be able to execute complex patterns with ease. In this class, we will focus on perfecting your technique, developing your own style, and exploring new concepts in Kizomba dance.

Focusses on:

Dynamics, energy exchange, playfulness, musicality, contextualisation of the music, more acrobatics

Prior knowledge needed: all the content from Level 1-5

Level 7: Advanced

We assume that by now you are a highly skilled dancer with a strong understanding of Kizomba and Semba and other dances falling under their umbrella (such as Tarraxinha, Coladera, Konpa, etc.). We will focus on developing your creativity, musicality, and individuality as a dancer. You will learn advanced techniques and concepts that will push you to the limits of your abilities.

This level is only by personal invitation and recommended for joining our show team.

It's important to remember that each level is designed to build upon the skills and techniques taught in the previous level, so it's essential to master the foundations before moving on to more advanced concepts. This will help you become a well-rounded and confident dancer and ensure that you get the most out of your dance experience. It's important to trust your teacher's judgment and expertise when it comes to your skill level.

Kindly respect the assigned level out of courtesy towards your fellow students and dance partners this will also ensure that you receive the right level of instruction, challenge yourself appropriately, and progress at a steady pace. If you do wish to join a level mid-way, we suggest you consider a couple of private classes to catch up with the rest of the group.

Our teachers are highly experienced and dedicated to helping you improve your dance skills. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have and provide guidance and feedback to help you progress.

We hope that you will find our classes challenging, rewarding, and most importantly, fun!

So, let's get ready to dance together 🙂
